About The Midwife

Gelena Hinkley LM, CPM is a licensed professional midwife who studied under the tutelage of renowned Midwife, Shari Daniels, at the International School of Midwifery in Miami. Gelena is both Licensed by the Florida DOH, Certified Professional Midwife and instructor. She owns both a very busy home birth and birthing center practice in South Florida. She is extremely passionate about empowering women to take ownership of their pregnancy and birth. She attends roughly 300 births per year and sees every birth in its own unique frame. She teaches in person birth classes twice per week. She is the mother of five children, delivered vaginal births in both home and hospital settings and received a cesarean section for her twin girls. This experience allows her to see each birth as an individual experience and to treat mothers and families with a unique set of tools.
